B-ESTIVAL

B-estival is the festival of rhythm, known for its impressive line-up of blues, soul and R&B. Concerts take place throughout the last 3 weeks of July in the traditional and unique venue of the Poble Espanyol, and, new to this year, also in the Espacio Movistar, in Zona Universitaria´s Parc Bederrida. Highlights include the B-52s who are kicking off the festival on the 9th and Erykah Badu who will present her brand new album New Amerykah. Pt. 1 (4th World War) on the 14th. In blues and jazz, Kevin Johansen and his band The Nada will be performing on the 15th, followed by ex-Morcheeba vocalist, Skye, who be at the Espacio Movistar the the following day. Johnny Winters brings his legenadary guitar blues to Barcelona on the 21st July, closely followed by the soulful rasp of Macy Gray on the 23rd. Hiphop will close the festival with a final performance at the Espacio Movistar from Brazilian rapper Marcelo D2 and DJ Dolores.
